85% Coalition Collection
The bulk of the collection is made up of emails from the main 85% Coalition listserv and two specialized listservs, Equality at Carle and C-U At the Altar. The collection also includes photographs, songs used at protests, news clippings, correspondence, fliers, and legislative documents.
Barbara Gittings and Kay Tobin Lahusen Collection
The collection contains fliers, newsletters, brochures, publications, videotapes, and programs from Gittings’ funeral and memorial.
Illinois Lesbian and Gay Task Force Records
The collection consists of organizational records and political organizing minutes for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and the Illinois National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, subject files on state and municipal gay politics, report cards for many Illinois elected officials, files on specific state bills, fliers, press releases, and press clippings.
Jack Rinella Collection
James Manahan Collection
The collection includes newspapers, magazines, articles, notes, files for organizations, bylaws, files related to the creation of Gerber/Hart, and some correspondence with prominent scholars like Jonathan Katz and Louie Crew.
Mary Mack Papers
Mary Mack’s papers are comprised of materials relating to the proposed Gay Rights Ordinance in Chicago (1986), Indianapolis Human Rights Ordinance to limit pornography (1984), and Greater Chicago Gay and Lesbian Democrats (GCGLD). The papers include legal documents, meeting minutes and notes, correspondence, and assorted ephemera.
The Gay and Lesbian Coalition of Metropolitan Chicago Records
The collection consists of meeting agendas, bylaws, correspondence, administrative records, member lists, workshop packets, and minutes of various committees, including Media Affairs and Discrimination. Binder #1 retained to show original format of materials. Additional years were removed from binders and transferred to acid-free folders.
Tom Chiola Collection
The collection is mostly made up of documents and clippings concerning Chiola’s 1994 Cook County Circuit Court judgeship campaign, but also includes correspondence, photographs, and publications.
